When vasodilators are used in combination, an additive effect on blood pressure may be anticipated. Clinical pharmacology studies have been conducted with co-administration of vardenafil with alfuzosin, terazosin or tamsulosin. Ritonavir (600 mg b.i.d.) co-administered with LEVITRA 5 mg resulted in a 49-fold increase in vardenafil AUC and a 13-fold increase in vardenafil Cmax. The interaction is a consequence of blocking hepatic metabolism of vardenafil by ritonavir, a highly potent CYP3A4 inhibitor, which also inhibits CYP2C9.
GENERIC NAME: VARDENAFIL - ORAL (var-DEN-a-fil)
A starting dose of 5 mg LEVITRA should be considered in patients ≥ 65 years of age [see Use In Specific Populations]. LEVITRA® is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. Our Levitra (vardenafil hydrochloride) Side Effects Drug Center provides a comprehensive view of available drug information on the potential side effects when taking this medication. Do not use Levitra for a condition for which it was not prescribed. Do not give Levitra to other people, even if they have the same symptoms that you have.
This can lead to serious side effects such as priapism - a long-lasting and painful erection. Instead, reach out to your physician about changing the dosage. In addition, Levitra must not be taken with medicines known as guanylate cyclase stimulators, buy xanax without prescrition including riociguat (used to treat pulmonary hypertension [high blood pressure in the lungs]). A rare vision problem called NAION -- short for "nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy" -- has been reported by a few men using these drugs.

Just keep in mind that ED medication alone can’t always resolve ED symptoms. There are sometimes other, less obvious reasons for an inability to get or keep an erection that are out of your control. Children under 18 and pregnant people should never take Levitra for any reason. Anyone older than 65 may also need to ask their doctor about reducing the dosage of Levitra to lower their risk for side effects.

You should engage in sexual activity to stimulate the penis within this timeframe. You should contact a health care professional if you experience frequent episodes of erectile dysfunction. Experiencing difficulty achieving an erection is common, but regular occurrences may require medical treatment. ED may also indicate an underlying health problem or a risk factor for heart disease. Rare but serious side effects may include priapism (a prolonged and painful erection), sudden hearing loss, or vision changes.
Permanent damage to the penis may occur if priapism is not treated quickly. Stop taking vardenafil and get emergency help if you have any of the following symptoms of priapism. LEVITRA helps increase blood flow to the penis and may help men with ED get and keep an erection satisfactory for sexual activity. There was no effect on sperm motility or morphology after single 20 mg oral doses of vardenafil in healthy volunteers. This study, however, was not designed to make direct statistical comparisons between the drug or the dose levels.
